Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Electrical and I&C Designer to support a multi-disciplinary design team on power generation projects. The role requires leading CAD efforts, coordinating complex electrical and instrumentation deliverables, and ensuring safe, constructible designs across stages from feasibility to construction.

You will leverage laser data, LiDAR, and vendor files to drive accurate modeling.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in engineering or related field with 6+ years of relevant power or industrial experience.
• Experience managing CAD deliverables and leading design teams.
• Knowledge of safety standards in power/industrial facilities.
• Familiarity with data environments like ProjectWise, BIM 360, ACC.
• Ability to work in a multi-discipline, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform as the Electrical and I&C discipline CAD lead for projects of all sizes.
• Oversee design and preparation of electrical and I&C deliverables with safety and constructability in mind.
• Perform complex CAD tasks and coordinate drawings within an integrated project team.
• Collaborate with engineers and PMs to develop facility designs from feasibility to construction.
• Lead CAD design teams, manage budgets, staffing, and scheduling updates.
• Prepare bills of materials and quantity take-offs.
• Utilize laser scans, LiDAR, vendor data, and survey points for modeling.
• Contribute to business development and proposal activities.
• Create and update group CAD standards; review peers' work.
