Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Electrical and I&C Designer to join our multi-disciplinary design team addressing the most challenging engineering tasks in power generation. You will lead CAD activities, coordinate electrical and I&C deliverables, and drive design through feasibility to construction with emphasis on safety and constructability.

Collaborate with engineers and PMs, manage budgets and schedules, and leverage data from laser scans/LiDAR to inform modeling.

Qualifications

BA/BS + 6 years of power or industrial experience or equivalent.
Experience managing Common Data Environments (ProjectWise, BIM 360, ACC).
Design experience for power generation or industrial facilities.
Experience with laser scans, LiDAR, and data integration.
Strong CAD leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Serve as Electrical and I&C CAD lead for projects of all sizes.
Oversee the design and preparation of electrical and I&C deliverables with safety and constructability in mind.
Coordinate CAD tasks and integrate digital project content across teams.
Collaborate with engineers and project managers through feasibility to construction phases.
Lead discipline CAD designer, manage budgets and schedules.
Prepare bills of materials and quantity takeoffs.
Utilize laser scans and LiDAR data for modeling and project data management.
Contribute to proposals and group standards.
Present at meetings; travel occasionally.
