Job summary

AECOM has a position available for a Senior Electrical and I&C Designer to support our multi-disciplinary design team addressing challenging engineering tasks in power generation. The role supports both traditional steam and advanced technologies and offers hybrid work arrangements across US offices.

The successful candidate will lead CAD activities, coordinate deliverables, and collaborate with engineers and project managers through feasibility to construction, ensuring safety and quality

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree and 6+ years of relevant power or industrial experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education.
• Experience in leading CAD design for electrical and I&C disciplines is preferred.
• Knowledge of industry safety standards and design standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Electrical and I&C CAD lead for projects of all sizes.
• Oversee design and preparation of electrical and I&C deliverables with constructability and safety in mind.
• Coordinate CAD tasks and ensure integrated project content.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers through all design stages from feasibility to construction.
• Lead discipline CAD designer on projects, manage budgets and schedules.
• Prepare bills of materials and quantity take-offs.
• Utilize data sources like laser scans, LiDAR, and vendor files for modeling.
• Contribute to BD activities and proposal development.
