Job summary

AECOM has a Senior Electrical and I&C Designer opening to support a multi-disciplinary design team in power generation. The role includes leading CAD activities, coordinating electrical and I&C deliverables, and collaborating with engineers across feasibility to construction stages.

The position offers remote flexibility and locations across the United States, with strong emphasis on data-driven design using LiDAR, laser scans, and 3D modeling.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree plus 6 years in power or industrial experience or equivalent.
• Experience managing Common Data Environments like ProjectWise, BIM 360, ACC is preferred.
• Knowledge of field instruments, wiring, and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform as the Electrical and I&C discipline CAD lead for projects of all sizes.
• Oversee the design and preparation of electrical and I&C deliverables, ensuring efficient facility design while addressing constructability, safety, and project constraints.
• Coordinate production of drawings and collaborate to create integrated digital project content.
• Develop facility designs with engineers and project managers through all design stages.
• Lead discipline CAD designer on projects, manage budgets, staffing, and schedules.
• Prepare bills of materials and quantity takeoffs.
• Utilize laser scans, LiDAR, and survey data for project modeling and data management.
• Contribute to proposals and business development.
