Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Electrical and I&C Designer to support a multi-disciplinary design team addressing challenging power generation tasks. The role leverages CAD leadership and advanced modeling across traditional steam, thermal, and emerging nuclear technologies, including a first-of-a-kind stellarator project.

You will work in a team environment with strong communication to project engineers and clients, overseeing deliverables, coordinating drawings, and contributing to business

Qualifications

• BA/BS required with 6+ years in power or industrial environments.
• Experience leading CAD design for electrical and I&C in large projects.
• Knowledge of 3D modeling, laser scans and data integration.

Responsibilities

• Perform as the Electrical and I&C CAD lead for projects of all sizes.
• Oversee design and preparation of electrical and I&C deliverables.
• Coordinate drawings and resolve interface issues within the team.
• Collaborate with engineers and PMs to develop facility designs.
• Lead CAD designer on projects, manage budgets and schedules.
• Prepare bills of materials and quantity take-offs.
• Utilize laser scans, LiDAR, vendor data for modeling.
• Contribute to business development and proposals.
• Create and implement group standards.
• Review peers' work and participate in meetings (travel as needed).
