Job summary

Comfort Systems USA is seeking a Foreman Electrician to lead a crew of Journeymen, Apprentices and Helpers on construction sites in the United States. You will oversee installation, alteration and repair of electrical systems while mentoring the team and coordinating with supervision.

The role requires strong understanding of schematics, project documents, and local codes, with hands-on conduit work and device installation. Weekend/overtime availability may be required.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Ability to lead, mentor and coach teams of roughly five workers.
• Strong reading of blueprints, schematics, and project specs.
• Willingness to coordinate with other trades and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Work alongside their crew and ensure quality of work to the highest standards.
• Assist in development of an effective manpower schedule for their team.
• Develop material lists from layouts, area prints, and job site demands; communicate lists to supervision.
• Help achieve production and budget goals by understanding what needs to be done and communicating that to the team.
• Ensure all work by crew is within local and NEC guidelines.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit using measuring devices, hand tools, threaders and benders.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panel boards, branch circuit and feeder conductors.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of circuitry.
• Read and understand project specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
• Lay out small areas of work from electrical drawings and project documents, including underground layout.
• Determine wire, conduit, and junction box sizing.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of lighting and general power circuits.
