Job summary

Comfort Systems USA seeks a Foreman Electrician to oversee a crew of Helpers, Apprentices, and Journeyman electricians. You will lead, train, mentor, and evaluate performance while ensuring installation, alteration and repair of electrical systems meet project specs and NEC standards.

You will develop manpower schedules, prepare material lists, and maintain safety and quality across commercial/industrial sites, including reading blueprints and coordinating with other trades.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Ability to lead, mentor and coach teams of ~5 Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians.
• Solid understanding of blueprints, specifications and contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Work with crew to ensure highest quality of work.
• Develop manpower schedules for the team.
• Create material lists from layouts and job-site needs.
• Help achieve production and budget goals by communicating plans to the team.
• Ensure work complies with local codes and NEC guidelines.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, panels, and feeders.
• Read project specs and electrical drawings.
• Lay out work from drawings, including underground layout.
• Determine wire, conduit, and junction box sizes.
• Troubleshoot lighting and power circuits.
