The role emphasizes reviewing drawings, value engineering opportunities, and presenting detailed proposals to the Chief Estimator. A bachelor’s degree and 4+ years in estimating are preferred; travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and design drawings.
• Perform arithmetic calculations for estimating.
• Estimate all project types and coordinate group work.
• Mentor and assist with the development of estimators.
• Proficient in using estimating software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates from quantity take-off and finalize bid packages.
• Review specs and drawings and attend pre-bid meetings.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost savings.
• Lead discipline sub-estimates and solicit quotes from suppliers.
• Explain scope and pricing to project teams during turnover.
