Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimator to prepare and manage bid and cost-estimating documents for electrical construction projects. You will lead estimating efforts, coordinating with estimators, suppliers, and customers to develop competitive proposals.

Relocation to one of several Texas locations is required; on-site work is expected with travel up to 10%. Rosendin offers strong benefits, ESOP, and growth opportunities for a motivated professional.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and design drawings.
• Perform arithmetic calculations for estimating.
• Estimate all types of projects and coordinate group effort.
• Mentor and assist with development of Estimators.
• Identify and meet customers’ needs and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates from quantity take-off and complete bid package.
• Identify key components for competitive estimates.
• Review specs and drawings and attend pre-bid meetings.
• Evaluate areas for value engineering cost savings.
• Provide leadership to subordinate estimators.
• Maintain documents backing up estimate figures.
• Develop labor productivity and installation costs.
• Prepare detailed listing of materials and equipment.
• Solicit quotes from qualified suppliers/subcontractors.
• Review quotes for completeness and conformance.
• Complete client-required documents on time.
