Job summary

Rosendin, a leading electrical contractor, seeks a Senior Estimator to prepare bid documents and cost estimates for electrical projects. You’ll lead estimating efforts, collaborate with estimators, suppliers, and customers to deliver competitive bids.

Ideal candidates read blueprints, perform arithmetic estimates, coordinate teams, mentor junior estimators, and develop labor productivity. Relocation to Austin, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, El Paso or Tempe is required; Rosendin offers ESOP and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years estimating experience in construction.
• Experience with Accubid, Livecount Cloud, Bluebeam preferred.
• CAD or 3D software experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform arithmetic estimates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimate from quantity take-off and complete estimate for printout.
• Identify parts of project that may be key to a competitive estimate.
• Review specifications and drawings, attend pre-bid meetings for scope.
• Evaluate value engineering opportunities and cost savings.
• Lead sub-estimate preparation for assigned bids.
• Maintain working documents backing up estimate figures.
• Develop labor productivity and unit costs based on site conditions.
• Obtain quotes from qualified suppliers/subcontractors.
• Present bid packages to Chief Estimator and explain scope.
• Support project turnover with detailed scope and pricing review.
