Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. is seeking an Estimator III to lead project estimates and collaborate with estimators, suppliers, and customers. This senior role supports several medium projects or one large project with minimal guidance.

The position emphasizes preparing comprehensive estimates, reviewing specifications, and ensuring timely completion of client-required documents while maintaining Rosendin’s high standards.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control.
• Read and interpret blueprints and/or engineering design drawings.
• Perform arithmetic calculations required for estimating.
• Estimate all types of projects and coordinate and supervise group work efforts.

Responsibilities

• Establish project objectives, procedures, and deliverables.
• Prepare the estimate from quantity take-off and produce the estimate to computer printout.
• Identify key areas for value engineering and cost savings.
• Review proposal specs, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope.
• Provide guidance for completion matrix discipline for bids.
• Maintain working documents backing up estimate figures.
• Develop labor productivity rates and installation unit costs.
• Prepare a detailed list of materials and equipment for quotes.
