Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced electrical engineering leader for our Nuclear Power Group in a hybrid role. You will guide a design-focused team through all project phases, coordinating with other disciplines to deliver reliable modifications and high-quality engineering for nuclear plants.

Responsibilities include developing scopes, schedules, and cost estimates, producing design change packages and vendor reviews, and maintaining client satisfaction through proactive communication.

Qualifications

• BSEE degree from ABET-accredited program.
• 12+ years in electrical design for nuclear power plants.
• 3+ years leading an engineering design group through all project phases.
• Experience selecting equipment, materials, and preparing design change packages.
• Experience as firm/client liaison in a lead role.
• Experience with electrical systems including LV/MV distribution.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Detail-oriented with ability to gain unescorted access to a nuclear plant.
• PE licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead group members to complete electrical engineering deliverables on time and within scope, budget, and client expectations.
• Define scope, deliverables, and track progress; manage status meetings and reports.
• Lead detailed design phases and coordinate with other disciplines for complex modifications.
• Develop project scope, cost estimates, and schedules for nuclear plant modifications.
• Provide oversight for design change packages, calculations, equipment specs, and vendor bid reviews.
• Interface with client and validate scope to ensure satisfaction; mentor group members.
• Identify client needs for strategic opportunities and cultivate follow-on work.
• Prepare and coordinate multi-discipline proposals.
