Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an accomplished electrical engineering leader to drive multi-discipline projects at nuclear power plants. You will oversee design phases, scope development, cost estimation, and scheduling, coordinating with client teams to ensure technical excellence and schedule adherence.

This role supports a hybrid work arrangement with office presence three days per week and remote work two days. Extensive nuclear experience and ability to badge for access are required.

Qualifications

• BSEE degree from ABET-accredited program.
• Ten+ years of experience in designing electrical systems for nuclear power plants.
• Three+ years leading an engineering design group through all project phases.
• Experience selecting equipment, materials, and preparing design-change packages, calculations and specs.
• Experience as firm/client liaison in a support or lead engineering role.
• Electrical system design experience including low and medium voltage distribution.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Capable of badge access to a nuclear station.
• PE Licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead group members to ensure on-time, on-budget deliverables (calcs, specs, drawings, design changes).
• Define scope of work and deliverables; track progress and report to client.
• Coordinate multi-discipline interface and ensure client satisfaction.
• Develop scope, cost estimates, and schedules for complex electrical modifications at nuclear plants.
• Prepare multi-discipline proposals and oversee design-change packages.
