Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer in Phoenix, AZ, to lead electrical power design for municipal water/wastewater projects. You will guide design teams, assess medium- and low-voltage distribution, motor controls, lighting, and grounding, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver resilient water solutions.

Role requires 15 years of experience, a PE license in AZ or reciprocity, and strong communication and project management skills.

Qualifications

• 15 years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology, preferably with an emphasis on power.
• Professional Engineer license in Arizona or ability to obtain reciprocity in 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Project/task management and support in budgets and delivery schedules.
• Development of project/task scopes, schedules, and budget for new projects.
• Interactive coordination with Control Systems and Process Mechanical groups.
• Establishing design criteria, performing design calculations, developing one-line diagrams, control schematics, plans and specifications.
• Engineering services during construction, including reviewing equipment submittals, shop drawings and responding to RFIs.
• Conducting field inspections, overseeing projects in construction, identifying deviations from design, and performing QA/QC and safety checks.
• Performing system analysis using ETAP or SKM Power Tools with arc flash hazard analysis by the team.
• Some travel up to 10%.
