Job summary

Arcadis in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer with deep expertise in designing electrical power systems for municipal water and wastewater projects. You will lead electrical design, motor controls, lighting, grounding, and ensure code compliance while coordinating with control systems and process mechanical groups.

The role requires 15 years of experience, a PE in Arizona or reciprocity, and strong skills in ETAP/SKM, NEC, and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• 15 years of relevant work experience.
• Arizona Professional Engineer license or reciprocity within 6 months.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Experience with ETAP, SKM Power Tools, and power system design.

Responsibilities

• Design and coordinate electrical power distribution for water/wastewater projects (medium and low voltage).
• Lead motor controls, lighting, and grounding design.
• Coordinate with Control Systems and Process Mechanical teams.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, and contractor RFIs; perform QA/QC.
• Perform field inspections and ensure safety compliance.
• Publish power systems studies with arc-flash analysis using ETAP/SKM.
