Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead electrical power design for municipal water/wastewater projects. The role supports the South Region of the Resilience Water Business and requires 12+ years of experience, a Florida PE license, and clear leadership in MV/LV distribution, motor controls, and grounding.

You will mentor staff, manage budgets, and collaborate across disciplines while traveling up to 25% for site visits. Florida, VA, MD, or DC locations available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and a Florida PE license.
• 12+ years of relevant work experience in electrical design for water/wastewater projects.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 70, 70E and NFPA 820.
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage project budgets.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% for site visits.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and coordination for water/wastewater projects with MV/LV power distribution.
• Provide leadership, technical oversight, and mentorship to junior staff.
• Manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with project managers.
• Coordinate with Control Systems and Process Mechanical groups.
• Perform power system studies and arc flash analysis using ETAP or SKM.
