Job summary

Arcadis in Phoenix, Arizona, seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in electrical power systems for municipal water and wastewater projects. You will lead design, coordination, and consulting services for the West Region of our Resilience Water practice.

You will manage project scopes, schedules, budgets; supervise engineering staff; use ETAP/SKM for power studies and arc flash analyses; coordinate with controls and process/mechanical teams; and travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• 15 years of relevant work experience in electrical engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Professional Engineer license in Arizona or reciprocity in 6 months.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and basic AutoCAD.
• Experience with power distribution, motor controls, lighting, and grounding.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and coordination for water/wastewater projects.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and scopes.
• Coordinate with Control Systems and Process Mechanical teams.
• Publish power systems studies with arc flash analyses using ETAP or SKM.
• Perform field inspections and QA/QC during construction.
• Travel up to 10% as required.
