Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead electrical power design for municipal water and wastewater projects. The role involves development of medium and low voltage distribution, motor controls, lighting and grounding, with oversight of junior staff.

The successful candidate will have 12+ years of experience, a Florida PE license, and proficiency with ETAP/SKM for power studies. Occasional travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 12 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Florida PE license required.
• Strong knowledge of NEC NFPA 70, NFPA 820 and NFPA 70E.
• Basic AutoCAD understanding and proficiency with MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and coordination for water/wastewater projects focused on MV/LV power distribution, motor controls, lighting and grounding.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and quality control of electrical staff; manage budgets and schedules.
• Support business development with scope, schedules and budgets for new projects.
• Coordinate with Control Systems and Process Mechanical teams; establish design criteria and develop diagrams, plans and specs.
• Perform field inspections and construction oversight; conduct power systems studies and arc flash analysis using ETAP/SKM.
• Travel up to 25% for site visits and client meetings.
