Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Staff Engineer Subsystems Aeronautical Design to lead multidisciplinary aircraft subsystem development from concept to sustainment. The role may be located at Palmdale, CA; Oklahoma City, OK; Whiteman AFB; or San Diego, CA.

You will act as SME for teams of 10+, prepare technical briefings for directors, and ensure airworthiness and system integration across hydraulic and electrical subsystems. A Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in STEM with 12+ years in aerospace structural design or MS with 10+ years or PhD with 8+ years.
• Experience leading system development from concept to sustainment.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop hydraulic and electrical schematics and systems.
• Lead trade studies, layout development, and system testing.
• Develop test plans, verify requirements, and troubleshoot.
• Present technical briefings to senior leadership.
