Job summary

Axon is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to own electrical design, development, and validation of complex hardware for mission-critical devices. You will lead the full hardware lifecycle from architecture to mass production, coordinating with RF, Mechanical, Firmware, and Manufacturing teams to solve challenging issues.

As a founding hardware team member, you will drive high-density mixed-signal PCB design, power architecture, and bring-up, with travel up to 50% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of electrical and circuit-board design experience.
• Experience with high-density mixed-signal PCBs with CPUs, memory, power design.
• Proficiency in schematic/PCB tools and hardware bring-up.

Responsibilities

• Own detailed mixed-signal schematic design for processors, memory, power, and interfaces.
• Drive high-density PCB design from architecture to layout and release.
• Ensure signal and power integrity across high-speed interfaces.
• Lead component selection, power-tree design, and charging architecture.
• Collaborate with Mechanical and Industrial Design for board form and heat management.
• Lead bring-up, validation, and root-cause analysis with lab equipment.
• Prepare design documentation and support production ramp and certification.
• Provide technical leadership and design reviews for engineers and partners.
