Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (Renewables) to join our Power & Energy team in Cottonwood Heights, UT, with consideration for Boise, ID, Billings, MT, Houston, TX, Boulder, CO and Denver, CO. The role involves design, analysis, and project support across utilities, industrial, and commercial sectors.

You will lead multi-site electrical design tasks, develop plans and specs, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring compliance with applicable standards and client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and an EIT certification.
• 5–7 years of post-education electrical engineering experience on large capital projects.
• Proficient with electrical design software and standards.
• Strong communication, QA/QC, and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop single-line, three-line, and bus arrangements for substations.
• Prepare calculations, reports, and construction documents with clear QA/QC.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders for project success.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure compliance with regulations.
