Job summary
WSP USA is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (Generation) to join our Power & Energy team in a nationwide search, with preference for Seattle, Boise, Houston, Mount Laurel and other offices. You will lead electrical design and project delivery for utility-scale generation facilities, including gas turbine and HRSG projects, and support permitting and construction.
The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience, a PE license, strong leadership and communication skills, and a proven ability to
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and PE license.
- 10+ years of post-education power engineering experience.
- Experience with power plant design and enabling regulations (IEEE, NEC, IEC).
- Strong leadership, writing, and client communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Produce, review, and approve electrical designs for complex power plant projects.
- Lead scoping, budgeting, and proposals for generation projects.
- Develop electrical drawings, equipment specifications, and control schematics.
- Mentor staff and coordinate across mechanical and civil disciplines.
- Ensure QA/QC, safety, and regulatory compliance on projects.
- Present technical findings to clients and address project risks.
