Job summary

TKDA is seeking a Senior Professional Electrical Engineer to lead industrial facility and site electrical design, developing power, lighting, and control systems. The role includes mentoring staff, assisting in proposals, and coordinating across disciplines.

Hybrid work arrangement with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote. Candidates should have a PE and 10+ years in industrial power distribution, lighting, and controls, plus proficiency in AutoCAD, SKM, and MS Office.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
PE with 10+ years of progressive technical design experience in industrial facility/site power distribution, lighting, and control/signal systems.
2+ years’ experience managing electrical or multi‑disciplined projects with service fees exceeding $300,000/year.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SKM Power Tools, and MS Office.
Experience coordinating design standards across Architecture, Civil, Mechanical, and Structural disciplines.
Construction administration experience, including observation and inspection.
Strong communication skills, writing specs, preparing reports, and leading project discussions.
Ability to travel up to 15% for meetings, consultations, and site inspections (occasional overnight).
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Lead the electrical engineering scope of industrial projects from concept through construction.
Develop site plans, power/lighting/signal plans, equipment layouts, and one-lines.
Mentor junior engineers and support proposal development and client relations.
Oversee project quality, safety, and schedule while coordinating with multi‑discipline teams.
