Job summary

TKDA is seeking a Senior Professional Electrical Engineer to lead industrial facility and site electrical design across the U.S. The role focuses on site plans, power, signaling, lighting, controls, and reports, with construction administration and design-team mentoring.

The candidate will own technical and safety aspects from concept to construction, drive proposals with leadership, and operate within a Seller-Doer approach. Hybrid work: three in-office days and two WFH days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• PE with 10+ years of progressive design experience in industrial facility/site power distribution, lighting, and control/signal systems.
• 2+ years managing electrical or multi-disciplined projects with service fees exceeding $300,000/year.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SKM Power Tools, and MS Office.
• Experience coordinating design standards across Architecture, Civil, Mechanical, Structural disciplines.
• Construction administration experience, including observation and inspection.
• Strong communication skills, writing specs, preparing reports, and leading project discussions.
• Ability to travel up to 15% for meetings and site inspections.

Responsibilities

• Scope and lead the electrical engineering side of projects, developing site plans, power/signal/lighting plans, equipment layouts, one-lines, industrial controls, assessments, and reports.
• Support construction administration, interpreting plans, observing construction, and ensuring conformance to plans, specs, and schedule.
• Mentor less experienced team members and contribute to developing the next generation of engineers.
• Lead engineering and design teams, owning technical, quality, financial, and safety aspects from concept through construction, and participate in proposal development and client engagement.
