Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for the Design Engineering group, located in multiple offices including Raleigh, NC. The role focuses on complex electrical design, leading project tasks, and ensuring compliant engineering deliverables across power infrastructure projects.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with extensive experience, strong leadership and cross-team collaboration, and familiarity with NEC/NFPA/API standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering minimum required.
• At least 15 years’ relevant experience in electrical engineering.
• Knowledge of industry codes, guidelines and regulatory standards to include NEC, NFPA and API.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex calculations and applies standards correctly without supervision. Takes lead when working with peers.
• Reviews the work of engineers and designers developing engineering and design documents as needed for the project.
• Leads mid to large-size projects or proposals.
• Reviews vendor documents to ensure specifications and data sheet requirements are met.
• Prepares engineering deliverables consisting of one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment data sheets, hazardous area classification drawings, electrical power studies (ETAP).
