Job summary

Kiewit Power Engineering is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead and deliver complex design projects. You will perform advanced calculations, review engineering documents, and guide teams to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

The role requires deep knowledge of power systems, NEC/NFPA/API codes, and ETAP software, with a strong capability to mentor junior engineers. Based in or willing to work in Woodcliff Lake, NJ or other listed offices, you’ll collaborate across disciplines

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum 15 years of electrical engineering experience.
• Lead small teams and guide less experienced engineers.
• Strong written and verbal communication; cross-department collaboration.
• Knowledge of industry codes including NEC, NFPA, API.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex calculations and leads when working with peers.
• Reviews engineering documents and ensures design quality.
• Guides teams to improve design, reduce costs, and meet schedules.
• Develops and leads improvements in processes and standards.
• Prepare engineering deliverables such as schematics and data sheets.
