Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer for its Power district. The role supports design engineering across North America and offers opportunities to influence large-scale power projects in various locations.

You will develop electrical designs, coordinate with multi-discipline teams, and mentor junior engineers. Based in Raleigh, NC, the position emphasizes safety, quality, and on-site collaboration with construction partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited program and EIT license.
• At least 3 years’ experience performing power engineering duties.
• Familiar with basic computer operation and electrical department design software tools.
• Experience in field construction or startup power plant work and directing junior engineers is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques to design large power projects.
• Prepare electrical designs including layout, schematics, calculations and conceptual design.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and ensure adherence to design standards.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline teams and construction superintendents to deliver projects.
