Job summary

Kiewit Engineering Group, Inc is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design engineering efforts for power facilities across North America. The role emphasizes high‑level calculations, codes interpretation, and cross‑functional leadership.

Based in multiple US locations, you will guide teams, review vendor data, and ensure safety, constructability, and cost targets. A strong background in NEC/NFPA/API and ETAP is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
• Leads small teams and directs project work with limited supervision.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA and API codes and standards.
• Experience with ETAP software for power system analysis.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex calculations and applies standards with minimal supervision.
• Reviews engineering and design documents; leads mid to large projects.
• Manages multiple assignments and budgets while meeting schedules.
• Develops design changes to stay within cost targets.
• Reviews vendor data sheets and ensures data accuracy.
• Mentors less experienced engineers and supports cross‑functional teams.
• Applies industry standards to design and engineer effectively.
• Produces electrical deliverables: schematics, one-lines, wiring diagrams, data sheets.
