Job summary

Kiewit Power Engineering is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for design and engineering leadership. This role focuses on power systems analysis, NEC/NFPA/API compliance, and delivering safe, cost-effective designs for diverse projects across North America.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 15 years’ experience, with demonstrated ability to lead teams, mentor others, and present technical concepts clearly. ETAP experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering minimum required.
• At least 15 years’ relevant electrical engineering experience.
• Self-directs work with limited supervision.
• Leads teams and mentors less experienced engineers.
• Strong written and verbal presentations; communicates effectively.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA and API.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex calculations and applies standards with minimal supervision.
• Reviews design documents and leads project teams.
• Leads mid to large-size projects and proposals.
• Develops cost-saving design improvements.
• Prepares engineering deliverables: one-lines, schematics, data sheets, etc.
• Ensures compliance with NEC and other standards.
• Manages multiple assignments and timelines.
