Job summary

Kiewit’s Design Engineering team in the Power market is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead complex power projects across North America. You will apply NEC/NFPA/API standards, oversee electrical design deliverables, and mentor junior engineers to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Based in multiple U.S. offices including New York City, you will direct engineering efforts, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and drive cost-effective solutions for gas-fired generation,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities for junior engineers.
• Experience with NEC, NFPA, API standards.
• Knowledge of ETAP software for power system analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex electrical design calculations and lead project teams.
• Review designs for compliance with NEC, NFPA, API.
• Develop engineering deliverables such as schematics, wiring diagrams and data sheets.
• Lead mid to large-size projects and mentor staff.
• Manage multiple assignments and ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and stakeholders.
