Job summary

Valar Atomics is seeking a mid-level Electrical Engineer to design MV and LV electrical systems for nuclear fuel manufacturing facilities. You will work within the IC&E Engineering team, contributing to power system studies, equipment specification, protection design, and commissioning support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience in MV/LV distribution design.
• Proficiency with power system analysis software (SKM/ETAP).
• Experience with arc flash studies per IEEE 1584.
• Knowledge of IEEE, NEMA, ANSI, CSA, and IEC standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop MV/LV distribution single-line diagrams and equipment layouts.
• Perform protection coordination studies and relay settings.
• Prepare arc flash analyses and grounding calculations.
• Lead vendor reviews, bid evaluations, and factory audits.
• Support pre-commissioning, insulation testing, and energization activities.
• Coordinate with I&C, civil, and structural disciplines on layouts.
