Job summary

Valar Atomics is recruiting an Electric Engineer to design and deliver MV/LV electrical systems for nuclear fuel manufacturing facilities. You will contribute to load studies, equipment selection, drawings, and field support while collaborating with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities include developing one-line diagrams, arc flash analyses, and equipment layouts, with emphasis on safety, precision, and compliance under NEC/IEC standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 1+ years electrical engineering experience in industrial or complex facilities.
  • Experience with MV/LV electrical distribution systems.
  • Experience with power system analysis software (SKM/ETAP/EasyPower).
  • Familiarity with NEC/IEEE/ANSI/NEMA/CSA/IEC codes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain electrical load lists and support power system studies (load flow, short circuit, voltage drop, motor starting, harmonics).
  • Prepare arc flash analysis and substation grounding calculations per IEEE standards.
  • Assist with sizing/selection of transformers, cables, switchgear, MCCs, and UPS systems.
  • Develop and update single line diagrams for MV/LV distribution from utility interfacing to final distribution equipment.
  • Create electrical layouts, cable schedules, tray routing, and duct bank designs.
  • Support equipment data sheets and vendor bid reviews; participate in design reviews and commissioning activities.
