Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical design and documentation for building projects from conceptual design through construction documents.
  • Develop electrical power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and related building electrical systems.
  • Prepare electrical plans, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation per codes and project requirements.
  • Coordinate electrical systems with mechanical, plumbing, structural, architectural, and other disciplines.
  • Review designs and documents for accuracy, quality, constructability, and coordination.
  • Provide technical direction and mentorship to electrical engineers and designers.
  • Participate in project meetings with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to repeat business opportunities.
  • Monitor project progress, deliverables, schedules, and electrical design budgets.
  • Coordinate electrical staffing and workload with project management.
  • Support QA/QC processes and ensure time for internal technical reviews.
  • Assist with project planning, resource management, and overall delivery.
  • Participate in interviews and provide technical input regarding prospective staff.

Position Overview

An established and growing engineering firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its MEP consulting team. This position is ideal for an experienced electrical engineer who enjoys technically challenging building projects, client interaction, and taking ownership of electrical design from concept through construction.

The Senior Electrical Engineer will serve as a key technical resource on projects, leading electrical design efforts while working closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other disciplines. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects while mentoring developing engineers and helping deliver high-quality, coordinated designs.
