Job summary

HireReady Partners seeks a Senior Engineer to lead planning, design, and development tools for HVAC/R products. You will direct projects, mentor engineers, and ensure milestones are met while translating rough concepts into production-ready documents.

The role requires a strong background in new product design, 3D CAD, PCB design, and EDA software, with excellent communication and organizational skills. On-site in Bloomington, MN, you will partner with multiple teams and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• 8 years of progressively demanding experience in new product design.
• Understanding of the new product development process.
• Ability to present technical information clearly.
• Knowledge of lean principles.
• Proficient in 3D CAD.
• Experience with low voltage PCBAs.
• Experience with circuit design.
• Experience with electronic design automation software.
• Fluent reading and writing in English.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, able to work independently.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and development tools and machines for HVAC/R products.
• Direct projects, mentor engineers, and drive milestones.
• Develop production-ready design documents and change-controlled specs.
• Create Bills of Materials and interfacing with vendors for specifications.
• Provide technical leadership and test plans across departments.
• Coordinate reporting on work at department and stage-gate meetings.
• Interview, onboard, and manage two direct reports.
• Perform other duties including training on established processes.
