Job summary

Matrix Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in Industrial Power Systems and Distribution to lead the design, analysis, and implementation of LV and MV power systems for manufacturing facilities.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams, and drive projects from concept through startup and commissioning in a flexible hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical power system design projects for industrial and manufacturing facilities.
• Develop electrical construction packages including one-line diagrams, power plans, equipment layouts, conduit plans, cable schedules, and installation details.
• Design low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems, including switchgear, switchboards, MCCs, transformers, panelboards, and associated equipment.
• Perform electrical system analysis including Arc Flash Studies, Short Circuit Studies, Protective Device Coordination Studies, Load Flow Analysis, and Power System Modeling.
• Develop technical specifications and equipment procurement packages.
• Perform electrical equipment sizing and selection.
• Apply NEC, NFPA, and industry standards to project designs.
• Coordinate project execution with clients, contractors, equipment suppliers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Support construction activities, site investigations, commissioning efforts, startup activities, and field troubleshooting.
• Serve as Lead Electrical Engineer on projects of varying size and complexity.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Assist with technical proposals, scope development, budgeting, and project planning activities.
• Promote Matrix engineering standards, quality expectations, and safety initiatives.
