Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in power systems for hyperscale data center programs. You will shape MV/LV architecture, lead UPS and generator strategies, and mentor teams across disciplines to ensure quality and compliance.

The role involves client-facing leadership, technical governance, and active participation in industry forums to articulate Jacobs' value proposition.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Active Electrical PE licensure in at least one U.S. state; NCEES record for reciprocal licensure.
• 20+ years of professional electrical engineering experience; 15+ years in data center or mission-critical design.
• Proven expertise in MV/LV distribution design, UPS topology, generator paralleling, transfer switching.

Responsibilities

• Lead upfront power systems planning for hyperscale clients and define MV/LV distribution architectures.
• Drive power chain from MV switchgear through UPS, generator paralleling, and busway; conduct studies.
• Provide governance across disciplines and support commissioning and IST of critical power systems.
• Represent Jacobs in client workshops, conferences, and RFP responses with technical differentiation.
