Hanson Professional Services Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer focused on medium- and high-voltage power systems for renewable energy projects. You will design, analyze, and document HV distribution, substations, and interconnections, working with civil/structural teams and coordinating across offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
• PE licensure or ability to obtain within six months is required.
• Minimum of 5 years in consulting with focus on medium- and high-voltage power systems.
• Experience preparing electrical construction drawings, specs, and shop drawings.
• Graduate degree or professional registrations are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design medium- and high-voltage power distribution and management systems for renewable energy projects.
• Prepare specifications, calculations, drawings, and full construction packages up to 200kV.
• Conduct QA/QC to ensure compliance with standards.
• Provide technical support to field personnel for HV systems.
• Perform electrical studies (short-circuit, arc flash, load flow, relay coordination).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with offices remotely.
• Participate in project management tasks and client meetings.
