Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for power generation and renewable energy projects in the Minnesota region. The role involves developing one-line diagrams, coordinating multi-disciplinary design packages, and supporting client engagements.

You will mentor junior engineers, contribute to guidelines, and help drive quality and efficiency while traveling <10% for site visits and client meetings. HDR offers an employee-owned culture and a broad benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• PE license required or recognized by licensing board.
• 10+ years of experience in power/utility design and project execution.

Responsibilities

• Support grid scale generation and microgrid projects from concept to IFC packages.
• Evaluate technologies, products, and vendors and assist with selection.
• Develop and review design plans, specifications, cost estimates, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, FLS, HV electrical, SCADA, and other engineers.
