Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with deep experience in utility-scale power generation and renewables. The role leads multi-disciplinary teams, mentors engineers, and manages client relationships while driving proposal development, fee structures, and WBS for complex projects.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years in electrical power design, experience with PV/BESS, and strong leadership to advance HDR's owner-engineer projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Power Market Sector.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent required.
• Extensive experience in power generation and renewable energy design.
• Experience with PV/BESS/DER projects highly desired.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and develop junior engineers.
• Manage client relationships and lead marketing activities including proposals.
• Lead the development of proposals, fee builds, and work breakdown structures.
• Oversee design and engineering of record for power plant systems.
