Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to help shape power systems for generation, transmission, and delivery. You will develop layouts, one-line diagrams, and construction packages while evaluating technologies and coordinating with civil, structural, and field engineers.

You will lead design reviews, mentor junior staff, and contribute to client meetings and project execution, with travel under 10% expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 10+ years of experience in power design.
• Proven experience with grid scale generation, renewable energy, and microgrids.
• Experience with construction documentation, QA/QC, and project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Support grid scale generation and microgrid projects from concept to construction packages.
• Evaluate technologies, products, and vendors for client selection and implementation.
• Develop design plans, specifications, cost estimates, and construction documents across milestones.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to produce complete design packages.
