Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Federal Power and Energy Team with potential work in Boise, ID; Overland Park, KS; Madison, WI or Virginia Beach, VA. You will help design and deliver electrical systems for facility and infrastructure projects, from inception through construction, including complex calculations and documentation.

The role requires ABET EE degree, 7+ years of experience, PE license, and ability to obtain security clearance for government projects.

Qualifications

ABET accredited Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent.
7+ years of relevant post-education electrical engineering experience on capital projects.
Professional Engineering license.
US citizenship and ability to pass security background check.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver electrical designs for a wide range of projects within the team.
Contribute from inception to construction including new and renovation work.
Develop single lines, three lines, wiring diagrams, and equipment layouts.
Perform calculations: load, short-circuit, arc flash, voltage drop, motor starting.
Prepare contracts documents: electrical plans and specifications.
