Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Federal Programs Team, with opportunities to work from Arlington, VA; Virginia Beach, VA; San Antonio, TX; Dallas, TX; Tacoma, WA; Seattle, WA or Denver, CO. This role leads electrical design efforts on a range of facilities and infrastructure projects and involves coordination with owners, agencies, and subcontractors.

The candidate should have 10+ years of experience, a PE registration, and proficiency in NFPA codes, Revit, AutoCAD,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited college or university.
10+ years post-education experience as an electrical engineer delivering design for capital projects.
US citizenship is required due to client requirements.
Proficiency with NFPA 70, NFPA 101, NFPA 780.
Experience with planning and conducting inspections and investigations of facilities design and construction.

Responsibilities

Provide senior leadership within an MEP team, delivering design and technical guidance.
Develop construction plans, specs, cost estimates, and basis of design for facilities and infrastructure.
Lead electrical engineering projects and supervise electrical staff in project execution.
Coordinate with government, disciplines, sub-consultants, and vendors during design and construction oversight.
Mentor staff and ensure QA/QC adherence across deliverables.
Engage with clients and planning teams to define requirements and project direction.
Travel to project sites and facilities as required.
