Job summary

WSP seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead complex electrical design within a Federal Programs context across Arlington, VA and other U.S. locations. You will guide projects from concept through construction, mentor teams, and ensure design quality and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience, PE registration, and strong proficiency in NFPA standards, Revit, AutoCAD and power-system tools. Travel to project sites is expected.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited electrical engineering degree or equivalent.
• 10+ years post-education experience delivering electrical design for capital projects.
• Professional Engineer registration and US citizenship.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 70/101/780 and electrical construction codes.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD and power system tools (SKM/EasyPower/ETAP).
• Experience coordinating with owners, disciplines, sub-consultants and clients.
• Ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design in a joint MEP team and provide senior engineering guidance.
• Develop construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Oversee design from inception to completion, including field coordination and inspections.
• Coordinate with government and vendors for design and construction oversight.
• Mentor staff and promote best practices in design and safety.
• Travel to project sites and client facilities as required.
