Jacobs is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – SME to serve as a technical authority for electrical infrastructure supporting hyperscale, colocation, and mission-critical facilities. You will shape electrical strategy from utility interconnection through the IT load with mentorship and cross-functional guidance.

Responsibilities include leading electrical architecture, MV/LV distribution, and power studies, while driving governance, design reviews, and client engagements across global delivery

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited electrical engineering degree required; master's preferred.
• Active Electrical PE license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 15–20+ years of professional electrical engineering experience in data centers or high-reliability facilities.
• Advanced expertise in MV/LV distribution, switchgear, transformers, UPS, and paralleling.
• Experience with ETAP/SKM/EasyPower for power studies and protection coordination.
• Strong knowledge of NEC/NFPA and IEEE standards; leadership in delivery environments.

Responsabilités

• Lead electrical architecture and major decisions from utility to IT load.
• Provide senior technical leadership for MV/LV distribution and related systems.
• Lead or review load-flow, short-circuit, arc-flash studies; perform design governance.
• Guide project delivery from concept through turnover with cross-functional teams.
• Support FAT/SAT, commissioning and integrated testing of critical power systems.
• Mentor engineers and drive standards, reference designs, and governance programs.
• Act as trusted advisor in client workshops, reviews, and proposals.
