Job summary

Jacobs seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer – SME to act as a technical authority for electrical infrastructure supporting hyperscale and mission-critical facilities. You will shape the power strategy from utility interconnection to IT load and provide mentorship across project teams.

Ideal candidates have deep experience with MV/LV distribution, substation systems, and coordination studies, with a track record in data centers and advanced manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• PE License (Required) Active Electrical PE in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 15–20+ years of professional electrical engineering experience with data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Experience in MV/LV distribution, transformers, switchgear, UPS, and paralleling.
• Proven ability to lead design reviews, provide technical governance, and mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical architecture and Basis of Design from utility interconnection through IT load.
• Provide senior technical leadership for power distribution, substations, and high-density power systems.
• Review and approve calculations, studies, and specifications across projects.
• Support project delivery from conception through commissioning and turnover.
