Job summary

Jacobs, a global leader in engineering, design, and advisory services, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer – SME to act as a technical authority for electrical infrastructure in hyperscale and mission-critical facilities. You will shape strategy from utility interconnection through IT load and mentor teams across global delivery networks.

Ideal candidates have 15–20+ years of experience, PE license, and deep knowledge of MV/LV distribution, UPS, and protective coordination.

Qualifications

• Education: ABET-accredited electrical engineering degree.
• PE license active in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; NCEES record preferred.
• Typically 15–20+ years of professional electrical engineering experience.
• Advanced expertise in MV/LV distribution, UPS, and critical power.
• Experience with power studies using ETAP, SKM PowerTools, EasyPower.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical architecture from utility to IT load with design governance.
• Provide senior leadership for MV/LV distribution, substations, and paralleling.
• Review calculations, drawings, and equipment selections for projects.
• Support RFIs, field conditions, and technical changes during delivery.
• Mentor engineers and participate in technical reviews with clients.
