Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical Engineer in our Advanced Manufacturing group. You’ll contribute to projects that enable the heart of our clients’ data center facilities engineering, design and construction, with opportunities to work on data centers and other mission-critical facilities.

This location-flexible role may require interaction with clients, owners, and contractors, and you’ll design power distribution, UPS, emergency systems, grounding, lighting, and low voltage comms, while guiding

Qualifications

• 6 year experience in engineering design of medium and low voltage distribution systems, building electrical systems, and campus-style power distribution
• Extensive knowledge of and experience with industrial facility design
• Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software
• Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC)
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design data center power distribution, UPS, emergency systems, grounding, lighting, and low voltage communications
• Collaborate with multi-discipline team and interact with client, owner, and contractors
• Manage quality, scope, budget and schedule
• Mentor and develop junior engineers
