Job summary

Jacobsis seeking an Electrical Engineer in the Advanced Manufacturing group to design and deliver data center facility power distribution, UPS, grounding, lighting, and low voltage systems. You will collaborate with a multi-discipline team, review designs for quality, and interact with clients and contractors on site.

This position offers flexibility within the U.S., with a hybrid work policy that balances office and remote work, and opportunities to mentor and grow within a global engineering

Qualifications

• 6 years of engineering design experience for medium/low voltage distribution and campus power distribution.
• Extensive knowledge of industrial facility design.
• Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software.
• Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide design work and contribute to team technical collaboration.
• Perform quality reviews of design packages.
• Assist with other portions of the design process and interact with client/owner/contractors.
• Design data center facility power distribution, UPS, grounding, lighting, and low voltage systems.
• May retrofit existing buildings to meet evolving requirements.
• Manage quality, scope, budget and schedule.
