Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to design unit electrical systems for Trane HVAC Commercial products, including control panels and power components. You will generate designs, prototypes, tests, and documentation for production release, with responsibilities spanning wiring, testing, and device integration.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and an internship/coop experience in EE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EE/EE Technology or Physics with circuits
• Electrical engineering internship or coop experience required

Responsibilities

• Familiarize with Trane Commercial Chillers, Rooftops and Air Handler products
• Develop control box layouts, wire harness routing and transformer load calculations
• Develop laboratory test plans and analyze test data
• Provide guidance to designers, lab technicians and other team members
• Lead electrical or quality and productivity improvement projects
• Update electrical purchased part drawings and standards
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 10%
