Job summary

Trane Technologies in Lexington, KY is seeking an Electrical Engineer - HVAC Systems to support the TCDC/VCDC NPD Pod. You will contribute to electrical design, design verification, and product line enhancements to improve performance, manufacturability, and year-over-year margins.

You will work with cross-functional teams from concept through validation, evaluating new solutions and incorporating feedback to drive and sustain product improvements aligned with customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum of three years of experience in design engineering, product engineering, or new product development is required.
• Experience supporting electrical systems, controls integration, or related design activities is preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time is required.

Responsibilities

• Support new product development engineering activities for Airside Data Center TCDC and VCDC products, focusing on electrical design and integration.
• Contribute to concept development, electrical design, and design verification for new products and major enhancements.
• Support projects that improve capability, performance, manufacturability, and competitiveness of the TCDC and VCDC platforms.
• Develop and review electrical design content, wiring concepts, and documentation for development programs.
• Collaborate with designers and engineers to produce drawings, models, and product configurations.
• Work cross-functionally with operations, quality, manufacturing, product management, lab, and other teams to resolve issues.
